Kosovo is the region with the youngest population in Europe, with more than half of its population under 25 years old. Moreover, research shows that many youth do not have ways to participate in processes that affect them. The Innovations Lab’s By Youth For Youth (ByFy) projects provide Kosovo youth with this opportunity.
Through iINNOVATE CAMPS, the ByFy pillar will support youth to transform ideas into actionable projects and to implement them. Here are some of the ways in which we support the ByFy projects: funding for projects; capacity building with mentorship on project management and project implementation; providing necessary equipment and office space; helping to link projects with Kosovo institutions and with the wider community of young change-makers.
The project must be led by a young Kosovan person aged 16-29, and it must benefit Kosovo society and youth. The individual or group applying does not need to be part of a registered organization in Kosovo. Members of minority groups, women, and persons with special needs are actively encouraged to participate.
What is iInnovate Camp?
The ByFy pillar supports youth of Kosovo through iInnovate Camps organized every six months in different regions of Kosovo. The camps target young people between 16-29 years old of all ethnicities and all communities living in Kosovo.
These camps are designed to give Kosovo’s young people the opportunity to develop innovative ideas that can contribute to improving their own communities and society.
