Advocacy Training Toolkit

The Advocacy Training Toolkit provides a platform for youth to access advocacy concepts and tools. It further increases understanding of issues affecting their daily lives and thus gaining the relevant knowledge and skills to become advocates in their communities. By introducing the main concepts and practices of advocacy and its impact, the training seeks to provide an opportunity to identify the issues affecting the young people and the different ways in which they can be addressed. The Advocacy training toolkit consists of 10 comprehensive modules aiming to be a stepping stone in their understanding of their role as agents of change. The modules are carefully prepared and offer a combination of content to be delivered and facilitation techniques to be used in the process. Just by following the modules step by step, almost anyone can deliver a solid training.

Training Facilitation Guide provides an insight into group facilitation and a discussion of most common themes within the field. After thoroughly reading and reflecting upon this guide, a person who has never led a training session before should have enough theoretical knowledge about facilitation and confidence to run a training. More advanced facilitators may discover fresh techniques and views, and find the discussion stimulating for their future facilitating endeavours.

Advocacy Training Cards serve as a take-home resource for the training participants. They offer a compendium of the training content using a visually interesting pleasing design, and offer a set of questions intended to stimulate individual reflection and further interest in advocacy.
